Reba’s Law

AB381 Reba’s Law

Reba was a bulldog who passed away from animal cruelty on July 27th, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Reba was found sealed in a plastic container in triple digit heat conditions. This prompted a law to be proposed, Reba’s Law, which would enforce harsher punishments on animal abusers who commit this act willfully and maliciously, and most importantly, protect animals. On 6/10, Reba’s Law was officially signed by the governor of Nevada, and is now part of the Nevada constitution. This crucial bill will ensure animal abusers are held accountable for their actions, restrict those convicted from obtaining animals in the future, and above all, protect animals.
